Watching Canada’s clock in the NBA run down to zero meant a lot to both teams involved in a surprisingly competitive Eastern Conference Finals. For Toronto, the Game 6 loss ended the Raptors greatest season in franchise history with not one, but two victories in their first Conference Finals.

For Cleveland, it’s a second chance at ending a half-century drought, something LeBron told ESPN’s Doris Burke immediately following Game 6 that he’ll appreciate.

Reminiscing about the past three rounds and what it took to earn their ticket to redemption, James knows the road is far from finished.

James also talked about how advancing took him back, specifically with the comeback of Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving. He recalled the times when his fellow superstars sat helplessly on the bench while Cleveland’s magical 2015 run fizzled.

Speaking of fizzles, Cleveland’s championship drought isn’t the only tiresome thing coming to an end. Reaching his sixth straight NBA Finals, LeBron James has once again proven why he’s the best player on Earth.
