The Cleveland Cavaliers clawed and scrapped their way to crucial win in Game 4 of the NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors on Friday night.
It was a game that featured many intense moments with tension and pressure mounting on both sides. Following the contest, Cavaliers big man Tristan Thompson didn’t sound like he was going to back down from the increased physicality, according to Rick Noland of Elyria Chronicle-Telegram.
With their backs up against the wall, the Cavaliers answered the bell by responding in a big way with a strong offensive team outing. There were several physical moments in the third quarter that only helped fuel Cleveland’s push to main their double-double digit in the second half.
Thompson was involved much of that physical play in the period that helped him produce his best game fo the series with 10 rebounds including four offensive rebounds with six points and five assists. In total, the Cavaliers shot 52.9 percent from the field and 53.3 percent from beyond the arc behind an NBA Finals record 24 made 3-pointers.
All of this should set the table to what should be another intense and physically demanding Game 5 on Monday back at Oracle Arena with the Cavaliers leaving their all on the court in a win-or-go home game.
