The NBA and its teams have made some excellent as well as questionable decisions in terms of jersey designs. A lot have come and gone but many have stayed with us for years. We take a look at the 10 best throwback jerseys in NBA history, starting with number 10:
10 – Minnesota Timberwolves – 1998-2008 (KG)
When you think of this jersey, Kevin Garnett instantly comes to mind. With an odd font on the front, trees all over the place, thank you Minnesota.

9 – 1994-97 Home
Ah the 90’s. If you forgot what the 90’s looked like, the Cavs had it nailed on these designs.
Not only was this one of our best jerseys, but arguably the most loved Cavalier of all-time, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, wore this in his debut season. Mark Price also retired in these designs. Oh, the memories.

8 – Houston Rockets – 1995-2003 (cartoon rocket)
A cartoon rocket, with deep blues and reds and throw in some metallic silver. To some people, these uniforms should make the ‘Top 10 Worst’ list, but those people are very, very wrong.

7 – Atlanta Hawks – 1970-72 (Pistol Pete)
Unfortunately these uni’s were only rocked in Atlanta for two seasons. Why are these jerseys liked so much? Is it because it’s like nothing else the Hawks or anyone else has ever worn? Is it because the late and great Pistol Pete donned them? Whatever the reason, the Hawks got this one right.

6 – Utah Jazz – 1996-2004 (Rockies on front)
What the Utah Jazz wear right now is bad. Not like Michael Jackson ‘Bad’, more like Utah’s record last season bad.
John Stockton and Karl Malone failed to win a championship while wearing these, all the more reason to bring them back for another go round.

5 – Charlotte Hornets – 1988-2002
With the return of the Charlotte Hornets this season, we saw them bring back the same colour scheme but it didnt quite live up to these ones. Purple and teal with pinstripes lasted 14 seasons, 14 amazingly wonderful seasons.

4 – Atlanta Hawks – 1982-92 – (Nique)
These jerseys are so cool that the Hawks brought them back a few times this season as alternates. With pastel colours and a design that only the 80’s could have produced, the Hawks should bring these ones back on a permanent basis as they’re easily a fan favorite.

3 – Toronto Raptors – 1995-98 (purple raptor)
When these were originally brought out as the Raps main uniforms, people were horrified. But these uni’s are like a fine wine, with time they’ve only gotten better.
The Raps brought them back this season as an alternate and fans all through Toronto and Canada loved it. With a full uniform change-up coming in Toronto we all hope this one stays in the rotation.

2 – Phoenix Suns – 1992-2001 (black blazing sun)
These ones are simply sick. The Suns wear a few tragic uniforms right now, so much so I’m gonna start a petition to bring back their jerseys of the 90’s. WHO’S WITH ME?!

1 – Orlando Magic – 1989-98 (Black pinstripes)
Trust me Cavs Nation, I still feel a strong dislike towards the Orlando Magic. With all the losing they’ve been doing, those feelings have subsided a little and let me appreciate these throwbacks for what they are. Pure gold.
I love the pinstripe look, and the black and deep blue look is simply way to cool for school. This is the best NBA jersey ever worn.
