LeBron James‘ list of awards and achievements is more than a country mile long — it’s true. The King, as James is often referred to as, has three NBA championships, 13 All-Star nods, four Most Valuable Player trophies, and 10 All-NBA First Team selections to his credit. With no signs of slowing down, it seems the accolades will continue to accumulate for The Akron Hammer.

James, now 32 years of age, has been the most dominant force in the NBA for a long time, but are we taking all of this day-to-day greatness for granted? Some fans and analysts say yes, including Fox Sports’ Nick Wright, who was on today’s episode of “The Herd with Colin Cowherd.”

Wright lays out several great statistical facts in his soliloquy.

James finished this year’s regular season campaign with career-highs in dunks, assists, and rebounds (26.4 points, 8.7 assists, 8.6 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per game). A lot of people would say those are the numbers that James should be producing. However, amassing those sort of figures on a consistent basis, for 14 NBA seasons, is nothing short of remarkable.

As Wright pointed out in his statement, James isn’t slowing down in the playoffs. Against the Indiana Pacers in Game 1, James racked up 32 points, 13 assists, six rebounds, and three steals. The Kid from Akron followed that stellar performance with 25 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists, four blocks, and four steals in Game 2. It’s hard to say which stat-line is more appealing, as both are excellent in their own right.

While it’s true there are several young, up-and-coming players seeking to take The King’s crown, it seems they will just have to wait for their time to reign.
