The 2018 All-Star game was one for the books as LeBron James would go on and win yet another All-Star MVP award. Everything was done through him even selecting the team with the new format. He picked every single player on his team and was the most active player on the court on both ends, finishing with 29 points. 10 rebounds, and 8 assists.
Team LeBron would go on and defeat Team Stephen 148-145 as James would re-create history winning his third MVP with an amazing comeback. With being down by almost 11 points with six minutes to spare in the 4th quarter, James would rally the players for a heart pounding comeback.
James would go on and take the game winning as he would drive over Draymond for the layup and two points. However that was never the plan for James to take the shot according to Thunder beat writer Erik Horne Team Lebron had another plan.
According to James, the plan was for Russell Westbrook to get the ball in the final minute as he had the ability to break down any defense. Team LeBron wanted to move around the defense and leave Westbrook with a perfect matchup, however the defense switched and the shot was not there for Westbrook.
Good thing there were multiple stars on the court, as they quickly drew another game-plan with seconds going off. Irving was next to touch the ball and with the connection James had with him, LeBron would go on to find the perfect shot.
James was the oldest player in the game with at 33 years of age, but still managed to put up the best line of the game along with the final go-ahead shot.
