For those interested in attending the home opener next season, this is for you. In a statement released this morning, the Cleveland Cavaliers announced that tickets for their highly anticipated home opener (and ring ceremony) will be sold separately from the rest of their single-game tickets.

The reason for this change is ultimately due to high demand and limited seating inventory, as the Cavs officially stated today:

“Because of the unique nature of this game, the high demand, and very limited game seating inventory that will be available, a separate sale will be conducted on September 15th, prior to the remaining regular season games going on sale Thursday, September 19th.”

The press release reads further:

“All fans will have the opportunity to purchase from the limited number of tickets available on a first-come, first-serve basis while supplies last. There will be a four-ticket limit per transaction for the home opener, and a six-ticket limit per transaction, per game (no game limit) for all other games. Fans can purchase single game tickets online only at Cavs.com. Tickets will be distributed through Flash Seats, the Cavs’ electronic ticketing platform.”

What an epic night it will be for the city of Cleveland and Cavs fans around the world. Get ready to raise our first championship banner and receive championship rings, Cavs Nation!
