The Cleveland Cavaliers pulled off arguably the biggest coup of the summer when they landed Donovan Mitchell from the Utah Jazz. The Cavs seem intent on making another move prior to the NBA trade deadline, and while it will not be of the same magnitude as the Mitchell swoop, it could still be big enough to make a significant impact for the Cavs and the rest of their season.
One man that could see his way out of Cleveland before Thursday’s deadline is Caris LeVert. There have been rumors linking the 28-year-old to a move away from the team, and it now seems that the Cavs will continue exploring this possibility in the coming days.
NBA inside Matt Moore of the Action Network reports that Cleveland appears to have two specific players in mind. Tim Hardaway Jr. of the Dallas Mavericks is one of them, while the other is Bogdan Bogdanovic of the Atlanta Hawks:
“The Cavaliers have put together enough offers to have a healthy idea of where Caris LeVert’s value is at the moment. Per league sources, they held conversations in recent months with the Mavericks, about a swap of LeVert for Tim Hardaway Jr. The Cavaliers, two league sources said, have also contacted the Hawks about Bogdan Bogdanovic,” Moore wrote.
It is worth noting that both Hardaway and Bogdanovic have garnered interest from other teams apart from the Cavs. This only means that Cleveland will likely have some competition on their hands if they’re serious about bringing either of these players to Cleveland.
