LeBron James and the Cavs fought in Game 6 against the Bulls, and despite losing Irving early in the second quarter and having James in foul trouble, were able to pull off the incredible victory on the road.
“It’s over. This is…This is special, Our team being such a young team and being able to win a game like we just won in a hostile environment.”
Cleveland will now advance to its first Conference Finals since 2009, when the Cavs starters included James, Mo Williams, Delonte West, Anderson Varejao, and Zydrunas Ilgauskas. Coincidentally, it was also the last time LeBron James hit his first and only playoff buzzer beater as a member of the Cavs.
“We won because of the guys off our bench. J.R. Smith, Double T, Delly. Delly had a huge game. That’s what team basketball is all about.”
“This is fun, we’re going to enjoy this one for the next one or two days, then we’re gonna lock back in for the Conference Finals.”
The Cavs now await the winner of the Atlanta Hawks and Washington Wizards series, who will play their Game 6 back in Washington Friday night.
