After dropping Game 1 of the NBA Finals to the Golden State Warriors on Thursday night, 113-91, LeBron James and the defending champion Cleveland Cavaliers will be looking to bounce back with a win tonight.
James, who recorded 28 points, 15 rebounds, eight assists, and two blocks Thursday night, usually plays well following losses in Game 1 of the Finals. According to ESPN, the King has averaged over 27 points (43%), 10 rebounds, and nearly seven assists (6.8) in six appearances after dropping Game 1 of the Finals.
The Cavs will need to clean up several aspects of their game if they are to steal a win tonight inside a hostile Oracle Arena, including ball security (20 turnovers in Game 1), presence (56 points in the paint allowed in Game 1), transition defense, and bench production.
Game 1 is set to tip at 8:00 p.m. on ABC. We’ll just have to wait and see what adjustments Cavs head coach Tyronn Lue has made.
