When it comes to accolades, there aren’t many that LeBron James hasn’t attained. Currently, the 6’8″ Cleveland Cavaliers superstar small forward has three NBA championship rings, three NBA Finals MVP awards, four NBA MVP awards, 12 NBA All-Star nods, and 10 All-NBA First Team selections to his credit.
The list of James’ achievements goes on, but let’s move forward…
Yesterday (Friday), The King celebrated his 32nd birthday. You may not realize it, but James has tallied the most points of any player in NBA history before the age of 32. According to Elias Sports Bureau and ESPN Stats & Info, James has scored 27,544 over the course of his illustrious career.
So far this season, The King is turning in some of the best statistics of his career, averaging a team-high 25.4 points, 8.6 assists, and 7.9 rebounds per game.
It seems the awards are coming faster than ever for James, and with no signs of slowing down, who’s to say how high his metaphorical ceiling could be. As fans, we’ll just have to enjoy the ride.
