The Cleveland Cavaliers find themselves in a tough position being down 2-0 in the NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors.
It was an exhausting game defensively for the Cavaliers with the Warriors scoring 132 points in the contest that even caused Iman Shumpert to receive an IV after the game due to cramping. In light of that, LeBron James had a half-joking answer when asked if he was going to need an IV to help his body recuperate.
James did more than enough to try and lead Cleveland to a win in Game 2 by recording a triple-double with 29 points on 12-of-18 shooting with 14 assists, and 11 rebounds. He now has eight triple-doubles in the NBA Finals which has tied him with Magic Johnson for the all-time mark.
The defending NBA Finals MVP has played like it once again through the first two games of the series averaging 28.5 points with 13.0 rebounds, and 11 assists per game. However, the Cavaliers have remained on the wrong end of the scoreboard.
That said, Cleveland has a chance to regroup with a two-day break between Game 2 and Game 3. Much of this renewed focus will be on limiting Golden State defensively in order to get back into the series. James will need to remain the driving force of that if the Cavaliers hopes to grab a crucial win in Game 3 on Wednesday night.
