While it’s true they finished their regular season campaign with a bit of a rocky stretch, the NBA’s defending champion Cleveland Cavaliers seem to have flipped the proverbial switch to start the playoffs.
After last night’s 117-111 Game 2 win over the Indiana Pacers, LeBron James, who recorded 25 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists, spoke to members of the media with regards to what he thinks the Cavaliers can become.
Via Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com:
“We’re right there on turning the switch on what we really can become,” James said. “We have a chance to do something we all have been wanting to do all season, and that’s to put together a four-quarter game,” he said. And I think we’re right there on the cusp of doing that.”
Through the first two games of this playoff series, the Pacers have remained focused on defending Cleveland’s Big Three of James, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Love. So far, the Cavaliers trio has made the Pacers pay for that decision, as James, Irving, and Love became the first threesome in Cavaliers history to record 25 points apiece in a playoff game.
All things considered, it seems the Cavs have picked up their intensity on both ends of the floor at just the right time. As always, thank you for reading and be sure to keep your browsers locked on Cavs Nation for all of the latest Cavaliers news and updates.
