Last night, the defending champion Cleveland Cavaliers squared off against the Boston Celtics inside TD Garden for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals, resulting in a 117-104 wire-to-wire victory for the road-bound Cavaliers.
The Cavs, who were coming off of a nine-day break, jumped out to an early lead in last night’s game and never looked back. Late in the third quarter and with the game beginning to slip away from the Celtics, Tristan Thompson and Isaiah Thomas got into a bit of an on-court disagreement. As the referees and other players began separating the scuffle, Kyrie Irving calmly walked over to Thomas and reminded him that his team was trailing by 25 points.
