Kyrie Irving has been named the Eastern Conference’s Player of the week after leading his Cleveland Cavaliers to a 3-0 week in games played from March 9 to March 15.
In matchups against the Dallas Mavericks, San Antonio Spurs, and Orlando Magic, he averaged a whopping 37.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 2.3 steals. All three victories game on the road, which made it even more surprising that Irving led the league in three-point percentage last week as well at 86.7% (he shot 13-15 from three point land).
Against the Spurs on March 12, Irving put up his second 50-point game of the year. He scored 57 to be exact, on 20-32 from the field, 10-10 from the free throw line, and 7-7 from three-point land.
