Something has happened to Kyle Korver recently. Is it the LeBron James effect? Or maybe the crisp, inspiring Cleveland air? Perhaps, it’s just the Indiana Pacers.
When the Cavs played the Pacers last week, Kyle Korver hit 8 triples in 26 minutes. He's got 6 in 21 tonight.

Korver hit six triples for the second time in his 18 games as a Cavalier. He accomplished this once in months with Atlanta earlier this season. More personally, Korver also eclipsed 2,000 career triples tonight. That’s something only six other players have done in NBA history.

The Cavaliers have placed a large amount of trust in the 35-year old, but he has surpassed expectations on both ends of the court. Korver is making certain opponents feel Cleveland’s shooting threat with a mythical 49.5% from deep without decoys like JR Smith and now Kevin Love. On defense, he’s embracing the challenge of matching up with quicker guards, such as Jeff Teague tonight.

To complete the bucket list, Korver also reached a season goal. Since he started his career, he has always set out to get one dunk a season. Tonight, he got his for 2017.

After the game, Korver told FSOH’s Allie Clifton that he’s “glad to have it out of the way, now he can go back to shooting.” The Cavaliers now enter the All-Star break at 39-16. They stay atop the East by 2.5 games, and their next game is next Thursday against the New York Knicks.
