After multiple evaluations, Kevin Love has decided to undergo surgery on his dislocated shoulder at the Hosptial for Special Surgery in New York City. The recovery time is estimated to be between 4-6 months. That timeline officially ends his first season with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Love went from ‘hopefully’ out two to three weeks, to “highly unlikely” to return this postseason and now officially out a quarter to half a year. This 4-6 month timetable will have him return to basketball activities by the end of August at the latest. With Love’s free agency coming up, a lot of questions about his health and price tag are left in the air.
