LeBron James has not been a happy man of late, his Cleveland Cavaliers have lost 5 of the past 7 games, and he’s made his NSFW feelings be heard.
Remember the name Jordan Crawford? Probably not. Let me remind you who that is, as he believes he is the solution to the Cavaliers playmaking woes.
Crawford has spent time with the Atlanta Hawks, Washington Wizards, Boston Celtics and the Golden State Warriors in his four-year NBA career. He has since played in the Chinese Basketball Association with Tianjin Ronggang, and currently plays for the Grand Rapids Drive of the NBA Development League.
With his NBA career assist number at 3.2 a night, Crawford tweeted his plea to LeBron James himself.

Crawford was more of a scorer than a play maker, averaging 12.2 points in the NBA, but his CBA scoring numbers are out of hand. In January of 2016, Crawford scored 72 of his team’s 104 points in a loss, shooting 25-of-52 from the field, including 4-of-12 from three-point range and 18-of-20 from the free throw line.
Those numbers also outline a greater problem in his game and what he could do in Cleveland. Crawford is a guy that likes to shoot the ball, a lot, and isn’t known for making many of them. This Cavs team needs a pure facilitator, a pass first point guard, something Crawford is not.
The former Warrior has shot 40% from the floor in his past NBA seasons, while going 30% from beyond the arc. In his current stint with the Detroit Pistons D-League affiliate, Grand Rapids, Crawford is averaging 23.5 points on 18 shot attempts per night, while only dishing out 3 assists.
Cleveland are in no need of additional scoring. The Cavaliers took a loss most recently to the Anthony Davis-less New Orleans Pelicans on a night they got 49 points out of Kyrie Irving, a triple double from LeBron James and a 22-16-6 stat line from Kevin Love.
LeBron James is demanding his front office find him a playmaker, and unfortunately Jordan, you’re not the one.
