Last night, the defending champion Cleveland Cavaliers hosted the Golden State Warriors inside Quicken Loans Arena for Game 4 of the NBA Finals, resulting in a 137-116 runaway victory for the home team.
In the early stages of the third quarter, LeBron James pulled a special treat from his bag of goodies. James, holding a 19-point advantage over the Warriors at the time and seeming to smell blood, grabbed a defensive rebound, brought the ball to the other end of the floor, and proceeded to throw down an off-the-backboard alley-oop slam to himself.
That’s right — to himself — in the NBA Finals.
Like many other athletes and celebrities, former Cavaliers point guard Daniel “Boobie” Gibson took note of the play. Already familiar with LeBron James’ breathtaking plays, Gibson still couldn’t help but marvel at his ex-teammate’s freakish talent.
just woke up out my sleep & realized this man really threw his self a lob in the heart of the NBA Finals. 🙌🏾

James went on to finish Game 4 with 31 points (11-of-22 field, 3-of-8 from three), 11 assists, 10 rebounds, and one steal in 41 minutes of action.
Will the King and the Cavs be able to keep this momentum rolling? Game 5 is scheduled to tip at 9:00 p.m. on Monday inside Oracle Arena, with ABC having live broadcast coverage.
