Both the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Chicago Bulls played a clutch game 3 on Friday night. In the end, Derrick Rose hit one of the biggest, and luckiest, shot of his life.
A great game that Chicago took from the Cavs, Game 3 was full of entertainment, technical fouls, and a flurry of iffy calls/non-calls by the referees at the end of the game.
We’ll start with this great drive by Jimmy Butler, blowing by J.R. Smith.
A clear travel by Butler was not called by the referees and gave the Bulls a one point lead. Cleveland went downcourt and LeBron missed a pretty wide-open layup that was rebounded by Chicago’s Taj Gibson.
Gibson came through with two clutch free throws, which set the floor for J.R. Smith’s clutch three to tie the game at 96 apiece.

After LeBron tipped the ball out of bounds, Chicago was left with three seconds to score. Mike Dunleavy was tasked with inbounding the ball with just 3 seconds and no timeouts remaining. He inbounded to Derrick Rose, who came through with a miraculous bank shot over the outstretched arm of Tristan Thompson.
Here’s the inbounding play, we’ll let you decide whether it was or wasn’t a five-second violation.
On Saturday, the NBA announced that there were some missed called during Friday’s Game 3.
NBA says three calls were incorrect in final 1:33 of last night's Bulls-Cavs game, including Jimmy Butler's travel/non-travel (it was).
