Cleveland Cavaliers head coach Tyronn Lue has made the decision to rest LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Love for tonight’s season finale against the Toronto Raptors. It looks like coach Lue is favoring health over playoff seeding, which is a wise decision.
If the Cavs were to win tonight, and the Boston Celtics lost to the Milwaukee Bucks, they would claim the Eastern Conference crown. Otherwise, the defending champs will have to be content with the No. 2 seed.
In games where The Big Three have been held out for rest this season, the Cavs have been winless — which isn’t surprising at all. Without James, they are 0-7.
After dealing with a sprained thumb for the past week, Tristan Thompson will be available for tonight’s game.
