The Cleveland Cavaliers had their way with the Oklahoma City Thunder on Tuesday night winning by a final score of 120-112. One of the most memorable moments of the game though came with just under five minutes left in the fourth quarter.
LeBron James and Russell Westbrook both went up for the same rebound. James inadvertently gave an elbow to Westbrook’s head, and he went down for a few seconds.
He was able to get up on his power and continue the game. It was just a hustle play by both guys, and it didn’t seem like either guy had hard feelings towards each other.
LeBron James seems to look really comfortable with his new team, and they really look like they are a threat again in the Eastern Conference.
Besides LeBron there isn’t really any more star power on this team until Kevin Love gets back, but they used a balanced attack to take down the Thunder.
James led the way, putting up 37 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists. The Cavaliers also had five more players in double figures. JR Smith had another nice balanced game, putting 18 points, six rebounds, and three assists.
For the Thunder, their downfall was the play of their bench, which gave them zero production. Carmelo Anthony, Paul George, Steven Adams, and Russell Westbrook combined for 92 points of the teams 112 points.
What the starters did was impressive, but this team needs to find some more bench production somewhere. They can’t expect their big three to carry them every night.
