Cleveland Cavaliers big man Kevin Love is now back in action after missing almost two months because of a hand injury. The long layoff probably made Love forget what it’s like to play basketball for a little bit to the point that he seemed to play a different sport – at least during one moment — during Monday night’s home game against the Milwaukee Bucks.
At one point in the second half, Love tried to get off a three-point shot from the left corner, but failed to nail it with Bucks center John Henson challenging Love’s attempt. Here’s where it got weird. Love fell to the floor after jacking up a brick, but instead of getting right back up and running back on defense to stop the Bucks in transition, he appeared to motion in a manner akin to how a swimmer would propel himself in a pool.
You could watch the video of that hilarious moment below.
It was probably just a pathetic attempt to sell a foul call by Love, but based on what happened, he should not try it again. Between this and Cavs guard Jordan Clarkson saying that he believes dinosaurs used to be pets to humans the size of a 20-story building, it’s really hard to tell which is odder.
In any case, it’s nice for the Cavs to see Kevin Love back on the floor again after missing 21 games. Love entered the Bucks game with season averages of 17.9 points and 9.4 rebounds.
Also, Love is not Tim Duncan.
