The Cleveland Cavaliers celebrated their 11th straight victory following their 116-111 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday night. However, that was not the only thing one Cavs player, in particular, was celebrating.
Veteran shooting guard Dwayne Wade was in the middle of postgame interviews when he was loudly interrupted by the cheers of superstar LeBron James via SportsCenter:
James’ cheers were in response to the Ohio State Buckeyes’ crucial 27-21 win over the Wisconsin Badgers to claim the Big Ten championship. As an Ohio native, the three-time champ has always been a staunch supporter of the Buckeyes. Needless to say, it was a good night for James both as a player — where he registered 34 points and 12 assists in the win — and as a fan. That said, he too will be among those pleading for Ohio State’s bid for a spot in this year’s College Football Playoffs.
Before he was interrupted, it appeared as though Wade was addressing the current 11-game winning streak the Cavs are riding. Despite their recent success, the 12-time All-Star recently came under fire after it was learned that some of his new teammates were not all too excited about his arrival prior to the 2017-18 NBA season. However, the veteran shooting guard has since responded with another solid outing of his own, while giving fans some nostalgia with a monster block on Grizzlies shooting guard Andrew Harrison.
