When Dwyane Wade signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers late in the offseason, the expectations on the Cavs quickly spiked up, especially with fans knowing how much success he had with LeBron James during their days with the Miami Heat. However, things have not gone according to plan for him yet, as he has struggled to find his fit with the team and has not produced solid numbers through seven games.
The 12-time All-Star recently addressed the issues he is currently facing with the Cavs, in a video via Uninterrupted. He made it known that he will most likely not return to scoring 20 points per game, but vowed to give his best regardless of many minutes of playing time he’ll receive from head coach Tyronn Lue.
Dwyane Wade has always been active on social media, which he also admitted in the clip. He said he does it to engage his fans more, and also to find out more about their thoughts on his game. The Cavs star then added that he hears what his supporters have to say these days, and that he is working hard to get better as the season progresses.
So far this year, Dwyane Wade has been averaging career lows with only 7.7 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 3.9 assists in 21.9 minutes of playing time. The Northeast Ohio faithful could only hope that Wade regains his old form the soonest, as the Cavs will gladly take all the help they can get at this point to turn around their fortunes.
