The Cleveland Cavaliers flexed their muscles versus the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday, extending their winning streak to eight games in a blowout victory. They dominated their opponents on both ends of the floor en route to a 113-91 win as the duo of LeBron James and Dwyane Wade were the top scorers.
If there was one sequence that would sum up how they outplayed the Sixers on the night, it happened in the fourth quarter, as Wade rejected the shot of Joel Embiid emphatically. On the ensuing play, The King asked for a clearout with the seven-foot center defending him, before stepping back for a three-pointer that hit nothing but net.
James finished with another impressive stat line of 30 points, 14 rebounds and six assists, while Wade added 15 points, four rebounds, five assists and two blocks. To Embiid’s credit, he also had a solid game of his own, but his efforts were not enough to make the game even more competitive, as the Cavs led for almost the entire match.
The Cavaliers return to action for the second game of their back-to-back set on Tuesday against the Miami Heat, where they will look to win their ninth straight game. The Sixers, on the other hand, will have a day off before they face off versus the Washington Wizards.
