Cleveland Cavaliers fans have longed to see Collin Sexton back in action ever since the high-scoring guard tore the meniscus on his left knee early in the season. As Cavs fans await his return, Young Bull recently released a workout clip where he can be seen dunking for the first time since his injury.
While it appears that Collin Sexton might be wary of landing on his left leg, the explosiveness is evident. It’s a testament to the Cavs guard’s dedication to his recovery and the physical attributes that helped him become one of the top young scorers in the NBA.
The Cavs will enter the upcoming campaign with high hopes. After staying within the Eastern Conference’s top five for the majority of the season, injuries derailed their momentum which saw Cleveland plummet to the eighth spot.
There’s no doubt that Sexton’s presence makes the Cavs more dangerous. Despite his defensive limitations, the scoring punch and playmaking are what Cleveland sorely missed, especially when Ricky Rubio went down with a torn ACL.
Before the Cavs and Collin Sexton reunite without any distraction, financial matters will have to be dealt with by the front office. Sexton is due for a contract extension this summer, but the two sides could not seem to agree on a dollar figure at this point.
For what it’s worth, both Collin Sexton and the Cavs are reportedly interested in continuing their relationship.
