Cleveland Cavaliers
Few would argue with the claim that the Cleveland Cavaliers are the most transformed team in the NBA entering the 2014-15 season. From offseason roster additions (LeBron James and Kevin Love just to name a few) to the all new, redesigned court at Quicken Loans Arena, the past few months have been nothing short of magical. Unlike the last 4 seasons, the Cavs wouldn’t be denied this summer. If you thought the Cavaliers couldn’t possibly add more excitement to this much-anticipated season, we are delighted to inform you that’s not the case.
On Thursday, the Wine and Gold revealed their all-new alternate jerseys characterized by a striking shade of navy blue, a color not seen often on Cavs jerseys since the 90’s:
+ New season.
+ New energy.
+ New uniform.

The Cavaliers created the jersey after gauging the feedback of Cavs fans clamoring for the bold color. Tracy Marek, current Cavaliers CMO, had this to say on the new alternate jerseys:
“With so much excitement and positive momentum going into this season, this special time called for a brand new uniform to match the energy and mojo of the 2014-15 team… Our special thanks to the NBA and adidas for working with us to ensure these unique navy uniforms will be ready for opening night.”
{adinserter 2}On to the pertinent details: the jersey and shorts are navy with prominent wine and gold piping around the letters and numbers, something that is a departure from the game attire the Cavaliers have worn in recent years. Perhaps the finest addition to the new alternate jerseys is its inclusion of the Cavs motto, “All for One. One for All.” The writing is cleverly located on the outside, bottom part of the jersey that players often use to wipe sweat out of their faces and hands. Since the writing is upside down it assures that Cavaliers players and fans who wear the jersey will always see the message and be reminded who of the team and players they fight for night in and night out.
Unfortunately, the navy jerseys won’t be available for sale to the public until late February but the Cavaliers have introduced a great deal of new, navy-inspired merchandise that is sure to prepare fans for opening night. The Cavaliers are set to display the new navy uniforms on October 30th against the Knicks. If style and attire are any indication of how that contest will turn out the Cavs will surely be stealing the show.
