It’s turning out to be a very busy offseason for the Cleveland Cavaliers’ front office. After losing in the 2018 NBA Finals via a four-game sweep at the hands of the Golden State Warriors, the Cavs’ focus is now on improving the team.

It’s going to be a stretch to say that the team will improve if LeBron James decides to leave via free agency this summer, but that’s not going to stop Cleveland from trying to shore up their lineup either.

In fact, the Cavs are once again jumpstarting talks with the Charlotte Hornets, particularly about a trade involving point guard Kemba Walker, per Sam Amico of amicohoops.net.

Speaking of veteran point guards, the Cavs spoke to the Charlotte Hornets about Kemba Walker at the February trade deadline and are again expressing interest. Without a doubt, the Hornets are more than open to moving Walker.

Walker has one more year left on his current four-year extension deal he signed with the Hornets back in 2014. He is only due $12 million in the 2018-19 season, which is relatively cheap considering the value he has brought to Charlotte, though, the team has only managed to reach the postseason twice since the franchise drafted the former UConn Huskies standout in 2011, when the Hornets were still the Charlotte Bobcats.

Last season, Kemba Walker led Charlotte in points and assists with 22.1 and 5.6 per game, respectively.
