Cleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell played in his seventh straight All-Star Game on Sunday, but the sights and sounds of the annual spectacle never get old for him.

Mitchell suited up for Team Stripes, as they fell short in the final against Team Stars at Intuit Dome. In three games, he tallied 12 points, one rebound, and three assists.

A memorable moment for the 29-year-old Mitchell was dapping up former president Barack Obama from his courtside seat. They also shared a hug before Mitchell was introduced to former first lady Michelle Obama.

Talk about meeting on the sideline.

Fans were thrilled with Mitchell’s cool moment with Obama.

“They brought it in for the real thing,” said @doubleuvu.

“Seeing this makes me happy,” added @armani_kenia.

“The Obamas just exhibit aura! They are the standards and forever loved,” wrote @Its_QueenAR10.

“He got the two-handed greeting from the first lady! Aw. I was giddy when I saw them sitting courtside. Best president and first family of all time,” commented @brownsgirlinAZ.

“I miss having a real president like this in the White House. Miss our beautiful first lady as well,” posted @elizavy_grady.

Obama is known to be a big fan of the NBA, especially of his hometown team, the Chicago Bulls. He has graced many events of the league and also hosted several teams during his time at the White House.

Meanwhile, Mitchell, who has led the Cavaliers to a 34-21 record, has always admired the former president. He even named Obama, actor Denzel Washington, and rapper Jay-Z as the three people he would like to go to dinner with.

Mitchell should have gotten Obama’s number during their brief interaction.
