Ever heard of the name Laurence Moses Bryant? If not, then you’re not alone. But a basketball mockumentary produced by Uninterrupted is set to educate everyone about the life and times of the self-proclaimed “Kingslayer.”

Titled “The Crossover: The Story of Laurence Moses Bryant”, the mockumentary’s narrative revolves around Bryant, who claims that he once broke Cleveland Cavaliers superstar and Akron legend LeBron James’ ankles during a game even though no one seems to tell whether that ever happened.

Here’s more about the series from Joey Morona of Cleveland.com:

“The Crossover: The Story of Laurence Moses Bryant” is a mockumentary-style basketball comedy set in James’ hometown of Akron. Lamorne Morris (Winston from TV’s “New Girl”) stars as Laurence Moses Bryant, a playground legend in his own mind who once broke LeBron’s ankles with a killer crossover move during a pickup game.

Trouble is, no one besides Laurence seems to remember that moment, you know, the one he says earned him the self-given nickname, “The Kingslayer.” Not even LeBron’s friend and business partner Maverick Cartner or ESPN reporter and longtime LeBron chronicler Brian Windhorst, both of whom appear on the show as themselves.

The series contains six episodes with the first one already ready for viewing online.

Uninterrupted is a video company founded by LeBron James, who is currently in the thick of leading the Cavs in a different series — the Eastern Conference finals against the Boston Celtics.

Down 2-1 in series, James and the Cavs have a shot to even it up Monday night at home.
