Since injuring his ankle at the start of training camp, LeBron James has been sidelined from the team’s activities.
However, James participated in his first practice session on Monday afternoon to which head coach Tyronn Lue stated that the four-time league MVP looked a little fatigued, according to Nikki Goel of ClutchPoints.
This had come to be expected given that it was the 32-year-old’s first practice over for an extended period of time. It was bound for him to not be in the same physical stamina given his time away from the practice courts without any physical contact or conditioning.
That said, these next few days prior to the start of the reason will likely be used by LeBron James to get himself ready. It will begin Tuesday night in the Cavs’ preseason matchup against the Chicago Bulls where he is expected to see limited acton on the floor.
James had voiced on Monday that the ankle injury would have also forced him to miss some time in the regular season had it occurred then. The fact that he’s had two weeks to recover from the ailment should be enough to prevent this from becoming a lingering issue beyond this preseason.
