The Cleveland Cavaliers currently find themselves in an unfamiliar situation as they have lost eight of their last 11 outings, including four straight games. While there are a number of factors that have contributed to the Cavs’ lack of success recently, one of the most obvious ones is their defense, as they have given up at least 118 points in four of their last five. However, head coach Tyronn Lue still thinks that they can turn things around, especially if they increase their intensity.
The third-year head coach then added, via Cavs Nation’s own Nikki Goel, that he continues to believe that their defense will carry them through this season despite failing to string wins together lately.
Lue’s comments only go to show the trust he has in his players, which is definitely good news for the Northeast Ohio faithful. With everything that the Cavs are going through right now, knowing that their head coach is not doubting their ability to play defense could do wonders for them and it could help bring them back to their winning ways again.
LeBron James is not showing any signs of slowing down with his stellar performances on both ends of the floor this season, but he cannot do it all alone. Team effort is badly needed from the Wine and Gold if they want to start winning again. Adjustments are expected to be made by Tyronn Lue and it will be interesting to see if the players will be able to apply them beginning on Thursday when they face the Orlando Magic.
