Safe to say all of Cleveland is thrilled to have Matthew Dellavedova back with the Cavs.
Cleveland is reportedly bringing the rugged guard back to The Land after completing a trade with the Milwaukee Bucks. Dellavedova spent the first three years of his NBA career with the Cavs and was a fan favorite because of his style of play. Dellavedova is a pest on the defensive end of the floor and really bonded with the fans. He was part of the 2016 championship team which defeated the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals in seven games.
Upon hearing that Matthew Dellavedova is back in Cleveland, NBA Twitter went nuts:
Matthew Dellavedova has career averages of 5.8 points, 1.9 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game. The 28-year-old shoots 39.0 percent from the field, 38.7 percent from beyond the arc and 84.2 percent from the free-throw line
Dellavedova and Cavs rookie point guard Collin Sexton should get along pretty well. Both players pride themselves on being good defenders and being a nuisance on opposing point guards.
Cleveland is in rebuild mode. They are 5-19 on the season, 13th place in the Eastern Conference. Matthew Dellavedova will bring intensity and toughness to the squad, something Cleveland is surely excited about.
