Former Chicago Bulls small forward Scottie Pippen recently made rounds in the Bristol offices of ESPN where he also spread what many people thought was blasphemous gospel that Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James is better than Pippen’s former teammate, Michael Jordan, at least statistically speaking.
Well, he’s singing a different tune now, though. Ambushed for an interview by TMZ Sports, a probably drunk Pippen was asked to clarify his “LeBron better than Jordan” comments, and quickly recanted his statement.
“Come on, man. What? Are you kidding me?”
The six-time NBA champion then dropped the hammer.
“LeBron ain’t better than me until he gets six titles.”

Like how most fans rate the game’s best players, it’s the numbers of downtown parades that appears to be Pippen’s measuring stick when it comes to determining greatness in basketball.
If so, then LeBron James has at least a few years left to try to match and surpass Jordan and Pippen’s ring count. James could add to his total of three titles this season with the Cavs playing well again even though they’re currently missing some key pieces in Derrick Rose, Iman Shumpert, and Isaiah Thomas.
