The 2018 NBA All-Star Game is the best place to break out new designs and colorways for one’s sneaker brand. Among the most notable players to display their latest kicks is the Cleveland Cavaliers’ LeBron James.
James donned the King’s Crown, the black floral kicks with touches of red and gold, for this year’s All-Star. The royalty-inspired kicks is part of LeBron’s collaboration with streetwear brand Kith. The black floral Lebron XV is one of the four kicks included in James’ newest collection.
The KITH x NIKE LEBRON “Long Live the King” Chapter 2 collection includes four designs. The pairs debuted this All-Star weekend with James rocking the newest addition to the LeBron line of basketball shoes.
Riley Jones of Footwear News gave us the lowdown on what to expect from LeBron’s latest kicks. The King’s Crown, which retails for $255, is known for its black Flyknit upper texture and gold side zipper.
If you’re the white sneaker kind of guy, the City of Angels kicks will give you the pristine look with the same touch of royalty. It has a silver medial zipper with intricate embroidery on white Flyknit. It also retails for $255.
Each footwear in the collection includes matching shorts ($180), hoodie ($145), and a pair of basketballs ($150 each).
If the LeBron’s first half performance is any indication, the shoes don’t only look fashionable, they are unmistakably great for playing on the court, too. The Cavaliers superstar scored 15 points, shooting 6-fo-10 field goals including 3-of-6 from three, in the first half of the All-Star Game. He leads Team LeBron in scoring heading into halftime. Team Stephen leads Team LeBron by only two points, 78-76.
