Following the controversial statement LeBron James made that the New York Knicks should have taken Dennis Smith Jr. instead with the eighth overall pick of last June’s draft, some of the team’s players quickly responded to the Cleveland Cavaliers superstar, letting him know that they are happy to have Frank Ntilikina.
The first one who did so was Enes Kanter, not wasting time in sending a message across to the Cavs star forward via his Twitter account.
However, when The King was asked to give his thoughts about the Knicks big man, a visibly irked James admitted that Kanter always has something to say about any topic.
“Enes Kanter’s always got something to say,” James said. “I don’t know what’s wrong with him.
LeBron James has had a number of excellent performances inside Madison Square Garden, and it could be the case once again, especially with how the drama leading up to this game has blown up. In fact, James and Enes Kanter had already exchanged sweet nothings on one sequence after the former got into some bumping with the same person the latter was standing up for in Frank Ntilikina.
A win on the night will give the Cavs their second winning streak of the season, and could be the start of a big turnaround for them after their slow start. While James playing versus the Knicks has always been a must-watch, his strong words for Kanter definitely adds to the hype, with the game expected to be a highly emotional one.
