Despite snapping their four-game losing streak on Thursday, LeBron James still feels that the Cleveland Cavaliers are still struggling. Not to take anything away from the challenge given by the Orlando Magic on the night, but he understands they need to continue getting better as they barely got past the team with the worst record in the league.
When asked how he feels after finally winning again, James admitted that it felt good to get back to their winning ways. However, he also added, via a video posted by Cleveland.com, that he thinks they are still in “Strugglesville” even after the morale-boosting victory.
“We want to play better and we know we have the ability to do it but right now we’re in Strugglesville,” said LeBron James. “But it felt like a win. We needed it. Definitely.”
Being the veteran that he is, the former four-time MVP knows what it takes to win it all and wants his teammates to know that they shouldn’t be contended with what they achieved on Thursday. It is still a long season to go which gives the Cavs more games to win and prepare themselves well for the playoffs where every game matters.
For now, they can enjoy the victory and get ready for a clash against the Oklahoma City Thunder on Saturday. It will take a strong effort for the Wine and Gold to make it two wins in a row as their next opponents are on a three-game winning streak and have three legitimate stars on their roster in Russell Westbrook, Paul George and Carmelo Anthony, who are all capable of taking over games for them on any night.
