The Cleveland Cavaliers are doing all they can to prepare for another long postseason run, one that will hopefully convince superstar LeBron James to remain with the organization beyond this season. While they’ve been focused on that, there have been a number of signs going up on billboards not only around the nation, but around the world.
It started with a Philadelphia-based company putting up signs in Cleveland telling James to come play for the 76ers next season. A Cleveland-based company then responded with their own.
Popular Los Angeles attorney Jacob Embrani then took his turn, putting up billboards in LA recruiting James to the Lakers next year.
Now, the grocery supermarket chain, Super King, has begun placing billboards throughout the San Fernando Valley, near Los Angeles, also recruiting James to play for the Lakers next year.
At this point, the amount of people with knowledge of LeBron’s plans beyond this season, likely isn’t more than a handful: himself, his wife Savannah, his business partner Maverick Carter, and his agent Rich Paul.
LeBron James is in the midst of arguably the best season of his career, averaging 27.4 points 8.6 rebounds, 9.1 assists, 1.5 steals, 1.0 block, and 1.8 three-pointers per game on 54.5 percent shooting from the field and 36.9 percent shooting from beyond the arc. He’s also on pace to play all 82 games for the first time in his career… in his 15th season.
