On Monday night, LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers will welcome Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors to Quicken Loans Arena for the second and final meeting between the two teams of the regular season.
After Monday morning’s practice at Cleveland Clinic Courts, James, now in his 15th season of NBA service, was asked to discuss some of the challenges that come along with facing the Warriors — a team he knows all to well. James noted that the Warriors seem to be rolling, while the Cavs have struggled as of late.
“We’re not the team that we’d like to be when the postseason comes,” James told Nikki Goel of Cavs Nation. “For them, if the postseason started tomorrow they’d be ready. For us, we’re not at that point.”
“It doesn’t matter if you’re at home or on the road,” James replied when asked if there is any difference in facing the Warriors at home or on the road.
James has a good point. The Warriors currently have the best record in the NBA, and they’ll be coming into Monday night’s game in Cleveland as winners in eight of their last 10 games, including Saturday’s 127-125 victory over the Toronto Raptors.
Monday night’s game is scheduled to tip off at 8:00 p.m. EST with TNT having live broadcast coverage. Let’s see if the Cavs can continue their impressive 13-win stand at home.
