The Cleveland Cavaliers got destroyed by the Detroit Pistons on Saturday and Cavs power forward Larry Nance Jr. says the team took a step back.
The Pistons beat Cleveland by a final score of 129-93. Larry Nance Jr. told reporters after the game there was a lot of finger pointing on Saturday, something which can’t happen moving forward.
With the loss, the Cavs dropped to 15-48 on the season.
This season is all about building proper habits for Cleveland and pointing figures is never a good trait to have on a basketball team.
You win and lose as a team in the NBA. On defense, the players have to be on a string and defend as a collective unit. Since All-Star power forward Kevin Love was out on Saturday, the Cavs have to move the ball side to side on offense and keep the defense on its toes at all times.
Wins and losses don’t matter this season since the franchise is rebuilding, but the way the team loses is something the organization’s brain trust is paying attention to. Bringing energy and playing with effort for 48 minutes is how the Cavs are going to turn this team around in the second post-LeBron James era.
