Cleveland Cavaliers All-Star Kyrie Irving has established himself as one of the best point guards in the NBA today. While it’s true that he plays alongside an athlete who some consider to be one of the best in the history of the game (LeBron James), “Uncle Drew,” as he is known, is cutting his own path — and not just on the court.
As most of his fans and followers know, Irving’s line of basketball shoes have done well in the open market since their debut. Now, in a unique tribute to Bruce Lee, Irving and Nike have designed a Kobe Bryant-inspired colorway for the Kyrie 3. In 2009, Bryant, a player who Irving very much looks up to, had a similar color scheme created for his Kobe V’s.
Irving’s new shoes feature a unique logo on the tongue. Instead of his traditional Kyrie branding, the designers at Nike have meshed Irving’s logo with Bryant’s. Other new characteristics of the new Kyrie 3 include a black and yellow paint scheme, as well as scars at the fore-foot, adding to the Bruce Lee theme.

As of now, it is unclear whether or not this colorway will be made available to the public. If they were to be released in quantity, however, there is no doubt they would fly off the shelves.
