As Derrick Rose continues to prepare for his return to action for the Cleveland Cavaliers, he understands that he needs to work hard to get back into game shape and regain his old form. That includes honing his outside shooting, particularly from beyond the arc. Luckily, he has the best person to help him out in Cavs teammate Kyle Korver.
That said, Rose was seen receiving tips from Korver during a recent practice which shows how much he wants to become even better from long range. He put up some shots with the veteran swingman, and the former MVP appears to be well on his way to being more comfortable from that area.
Cavs head coach Tyronn Lue revealed last week that Rose may suit up in their already-concluded road trip. As we all know, that did not happen and Rose could instead make his highly-anticipated return at Quicken Loans Arena as Cleveland is scheduled for a three-game home stand.
Derrick Rose’s availability will give the defending Eastern Conference champions more depth in their point guard rotation, especially now that Isaiah Thomas is already playing.
If the 29-year-old Memphis product would be able to provide the Cavs with quality minutes, coupled with an improved 3-point shooting, it would definitely be a huge boost to the team and it will help them get back to their winning ways, as they badly need to bounce back from losing eight of their last 11 outings.
The Cavs are scheduled to face the defending champion Golden State Warriors Monday night at home.
