Cleveland Cavaliers teammates Kevin Love and Jeff Green shared a moment during a timeout in Friday night’s 115-108 victory over the visiting Indiana Pacers.
With most of the Cavs gathered near the bench, Love took off his warm-up hoodie, then playfully threw it right on Green’s head. Rookie Cedi Osman, who was standing nearby, had a look of disbelief on his face. Green, one of the more quiet guys on the team, then pulled Love’s hoodie off of his head in confusion.
Clearly, Love was just having a bit of fun. Green, no doubt playing along, actually spoke out during Love’s post-game interview.
“Did you see the sh– you started?,” Green said to Love in the Cavs’ locker room. “They thought that was for real, man.”
“It was real,” Love replied with a grin as he paused the interview. “I don’t like you, Jeff.”
The Cavs were in a funk prior to Friday night’s win, so it’s nice to see the guys joking around with one another again. But more importantly, the win gave the Cavs their first victory over the Pacers after a string of defeats prior to Friday’s game.
Love had a quiet, by his standards, double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds to go along with three assists and two steals. Green, on the other hand, registered 11 points, two rebounds, two assists, and a block to his name.
Their next game comes on Sunday, as they’re scheduled to host the Detroit Pistons inside Quicken Loans Arena. Tip-off is set for 6:00 p.m. EST with Fox Sports Ohio and Fox Sports Detroit having live broadcast coverage. Let’s see if the Cavs can build a bit of momentum.
