After Tuesday night’s 107-94 loss, the Cleveland Cavaliers find themselves trailing the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals by a margin of two game to nil. The Cavs will need to improve several facets of their game if they hope to climb out of this two-game deficit, including pace, according to Kevin Love
Following Friday morning’s practice session at Cleveland Clinic Courts, Love spoke to members of the media with regards to what areas the Cavs can improve on, including pace, movement, and better showings in the second half.
“We’ve been working on that — movement and not staying stagnant,” Love told Nikki Goel of Cavs Nation after Friday’s practice. “Especially in the second half. We tend to throw the ball to me or LeBron (James) and then we stop.”
Love logged 35 minutes in Tuesday’s loss, scoring 22 points on 9-18 shooting (2-6 from beyond the arc), 15 rebounds and two assists.
Love also commented on playing at The Q for the next two games, as well as the solid play of Boston’s defense in the series thus far.
“Being at home will help a lot tomorrow night,” Love told FOX Sports Ohio’s Fred McLeod after Friday’s practice.
“They do a real good job of contesting shots and being physical,” Love said of Boston’s defensive play. “They’ve played physical all of the playoffs.”
Saturday’s Game 3 matchup is set to tip inside Quicken Loans Arena at 8:30 p.m. EST with ESPN having live broadcast coverage. Let’s see if the Cavs can answer the bell.
