The Cleveland Cavaliers are set to close out a four-game homestand on Thursday night, but it sounds like they’ll be without two members of their backcourt rotation, including Jose Calderon and George Hill, according to Joe Vardon of Cleveland.com.

Vardon reports that Calderon will be held out of Thursday night’s game against the Washington Wizards due to a hamstring issue.

Calderon has been a spark plug for the Cavs. In his 55 games played this season, the Spanish-born ball handler has racked up averages of 4.6 points on 51.1 percent shooting from the field (47.3 percent from beyond the arc), 2.1 assists and 1.5 rebounds.

Calderon posted 19 points in Tuesday night’s victory over the Toronto Raptors, marking his highest point total as a member of the Cavaliers.

Hill has missed two games due to a sprained ankle that he suffered in Friday night’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans. Like Calderon, Hill has been ruled out.

Hill has made 22 appearances with the Cavs this season, averaging 9.9 points on 44.4 percent shooting from the field (35.1 percent from downtown), 2.9 assists and 2.8 rebounds.

Vardon also noted that Jeff Green would start in the front court for Cleveland into tbe playoffs.

Thursday night’s Cavs-Wizards game is set to tip inside Quicken Loans Arena at 8:00 p.m. EST with TNT having live broadcast coverage. Let’s see if the Cavs can keep their momentum rolling into the postseason.
