Cleveland Cavaliers forward Jeff Green will be held out of Tuesday night’s game against the Brooklyn Nets due to lower back soreness, according to a report from ESPN’s Dave McMenamin.

Green, now 31 years of age, continues to play well for Cleveland. The former fifth overall pick (2007) has played in 59 games with the Cavs this season, averaging 10.6 points on 48.9 percent shooting from the field (30.8 percent from beyond the arc), 3.3 rebounds, and 1.3 assists
Shortly after Tuesday morning’s shootaround at Cleveland Clinic Courts, Cavs head coach Tyronn Lue told FOX Sports Ohio’s Fred McLeod that the team’s starting lineup would remain the same for now (George Hill, J.R. Smith, Cedi Osman, LeBron James, and Tristan Thompson).

Coach Lue has also implemented several new plays for his team to run, according to a report from ESPN’s Dave McMenamin.
“Lue introduced an offensive structure that starts with feeding the ball to the elbow and has ‘six or seven’ options to pursue from there, depending on how the defense reacts,” McMenamin writes in his recent article. “In the starting unit, the elbow feeds — while Kevin Love is hurt, at least — will flow through LeBron James. With the second unit, those touches will go through Larry Nance Jr. or Jeff Green.”
Cedi Osman, Larry Nance Jr, and even LeBron James could see their minutes increase with Green on the sidelines.
Tuesday night’s Cavs-Nets game is set to tip inside Quicken Loans Arena at 7:00 p.m. EST with FOX Sports Ohio having live broadcast coverage.
