The Cleveland Cavaliers find themselves in an 0-2 hole in their Eastern Conference Semifinal series against the Detroit Pistons. One of the main topics at hand is Cavs star James Harden and his perceived inability to find success in the playoffs.

During a recent segment of ‘Run It Back’ presented by FanDuel TV, James Harden’s former Houston Rockets teammate Lou Williams suggested that the current Cavs star is running out of time to change the narrative of him coming up short in the playoffs.

“It’s not looking good. As great of a player as he is, he should have won. But at 36-years-old, 17 NBA seasons, and not having a great postseason, the clock does’t run backwards and it looks like he’s running out of time,” Williams proclaimed. “I don’t feel like his game has evolved in the past five years to another level. Usually when you get up in age … you add something.

“This is probably the version of James Harden we’re going to see until the end of time until his career is over. If this is the brand of basketball he’s going to play … where he’s getting more turnovers than he is field goal makes, it looks like he’s not gonna get a ring.”

During this Cavs’ postseason run, Harden is averaging 19.6 points, 5.7 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 1.9 steals with splits of 42.3 percent shooting from the field, 32.2 percent shooting from the 3-point line and 86.9 percent shooting from the free-throw line.

He had a strong Game 1 against the Pistons with 22 points, eight rebounds, seven assists, one steal and two blocked shots. But in Game 2, he finished with only 10 points while shooting 3-0f-13 from the field and 0-of-4 from 3-point range. He also had four turnovers to his three assists.
