James Harden and the Cleveland Cavs watched their seven-game win streak end in a 121-113 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, responding with a 109-94 win against the New York Knicks. Harden tallied 20 points and four assists in the five-point win against the Knicks. All-Star Donovan Mitchell led with 23 points, five rebounds, four assists, and three steals.

After the game, Harden addressed how much better the Cavs can be between now and the end of the regular season, per the Akron Beacon Journal’s Nate Ulrich.

“We’re good,” Harden said. “But we’ve got a few more notches to get to, and with only [23] games left [in the regular season], I think we can get there. Matter of fact, I know we can get there.”

Mitchell reminded everyone that Harden is still finding his footing with the Cavs.

“He’s still finding his way, and if finding your way is 12 [points] and seven [rebounds], that’s not bad,” Mitchell said of Mobley. “But for him, it’s not just going to click right away. It’s gotta kind of come back. [And] we have a new team [since] he first got hurt, too.”

James Harden and the Cavs improved to 37-22.
