James Harden and the Cleveland Cavaliers looked to save their season on Sunday as they hosted the Toronto Raptors at Rocket Arena in Game 7 of their first-round series in the playoffs.

Harden is not a stranger to a best-of-seven matchup going the full distance, although he has not been particularly successful.

He, however, has been quite busy against the Raptors, including on the defensive end, already tallying three steals.

In the process, he passed Larry Bird for the No. 8 spot in the all-time list for most steals in the playoffs. Harden started the contest at the No. 10 spot. He also passed Maurice Cheeks at No. 9.

At 36 years old, Harden continues to reach milestones, further cementing his legacy.

He, however, has had an up-and-down series. Carrying the Wine and Gold in Game 7 would be a sense of vindication for him, especially since the Cavaliers traded for him in February to help them get over the hump in the playoffs.

The former MVP is coming off a subpar showing in their loss in Game 6. He had 16 points on 5-of-14 shooting, nine rebounds, nine assists, and two steals. He also had four turnovers.

Rumors are swirling that coach Kenny Atkinson is on the hot seat. A good performance from Harden to save their campaign would be a huge relief for Atkinson.

As of writing, the fourth-seeded Cavaliers have erected a double-digit lead against the fifth-seeded Raptors in the third quarter.

Aside from his three steals, Harden also has 14 points, five rebounds, and three assists.
