The Cleveland Cavaliers are officially in the playoffs for the fourth straight year after securing a berth in their win over the Golden State Warriors, 118-111, at Chase Center on Thursday.

The Cavaliers improved to 48-29, bouncing back from their loss to the Los Angeles Lakers, 127-113, at Crypto.com Arena on Wednesday. They are in fourth place in the Eastern Conference.

Cleveland is looking to make a deeper run in the playoffs after getting eliminated in the second round by the Indiana Pacers, 4-2, last season, leaving Donovan Mitchell in disbelief.

Fans are thrilled that the Wine and Gold have another shot at taking home the Larry O’Brien Trophy.

“Cleveland Cavaliers quietly putting together a serious season. This isn’t luck anymore,” posted @remythomz.

“They’re going to be tough to beat in the first round. They have two bigs in (Jarrett) Allen and (Evan) Mobley, who on any given night can average a double-double, and at the backcourt position, they have guards who on any given night can average a triple-double in (James) Harden and Mitchell,” observed @SashaMania36.

“Cavs are proving they’re a force to be reckoned with this season,” wrote @ZdhBnm5840.

“Cavaliers clinching a playoff spot with that win over the Warriors is well-deserved. They have been consistent and tough all season, and this shows how far they have come,” commented @Hayysquare.

Mitchell led the Cavaliers against the Warriors with 25 points, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals, while Max Strus added 24 points on 6-of-10 shooting from deep and five rebounds.

Allen and Mobley each finished with a double-double. Harden chipped in 19 points and five assists.

Cleveland will return to action on Sunday versus the Indiana Pacers.
